  1. This is such a beautiful Christmas post, Rebecca!
Loved the recipe you shared you. I hope you find special memories of your grandmother in your heart when you make them this Christmas.
Your ornaments sound perfect for you and your tree. It's so great your sister finds such unique ones.
We too, do our gift exchanges pretty much the same way. My sister-in-law has been hosting the Christmas family events with lots of food and fun gift exchanges. The gifts can be anything anyone wants to bring. We actually call it "Rob Your Neighbor." I'm not a big fan of the title, but it is a lot of fun. :) If a person wants a gift someone else has picked, that person can take theirs and gives their gift to them. The person can also decide to keep their gift, of course. This adult game always brings us lots of laughs. (Not recommended for kids to play. They would have a hard time with this.) Each child in the family ends up with a nice gift from family members, which makes them all happy.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy that Christmas break, Rebecca!! :)

  2. Merry Christmas Rebecca. I love reading the different Christmas traditions, we all make it something special in our own way. My tree is always decorated on the 1st December, although this year it is somewhat minimal with a two year old in reach. I'm glad you have fond memories of your grandma through a recipe, you should make those cookies and celebrate her every year. Thanks for sharing the lights in the neighbourhood too, we love driving around to see them here as well, but we have to wait til it gets dark after 9 pm as it's the middle of summer here. Best wishes to you and your family for a perfect Christmas season. xx

  3. * Your blog is getting me in the mood for Christmas, Rebecca. How fun learning about your holiday traditions! We, too, love driving about or walking the hood to look at the lights, but none is as pretty as those you found in Pigeon Forge. What a hoot to exchange white elephant gifts! Thanks for sharing your December dreams.
